Our CAREGIVERS are our HEROES.

We offer the very best compassionate care for you. Our goal is to improve the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of our clients. Having a companion will increase your sense of confidence, security, and social interaction. Increasing social interaction can reduce depression and increase mental activity.

Our Caregivers can help you accomplish a variety of tasks that are essential to your quality of life. They are there to help you maintain your independence in your own home. You can depend on them to carry out tasks, such as dropping off/picking up mail, medication reminders, meal preparations, morning care and evening care.

Our Caregivers are employees of CareDiem® Home Care. The agency is responsible for their taxes, payroll, worker’s compensation, insurance and background checks. We make sure to check in on you and the caregivers during our supervisory visits to ensure that you are satisfied with the care being provided. Our goal is to ensure that you are getting all the assistance you want, in the manner that you want.

Upon hire, our caregivers undergo the following:

In-Person Interview
Our office managers will call potential hires to perform a brief phone interview and schedule an in-person interview. We conduct an extensive in-person interview to determine the suitability of the applicant to perform all duties as a caregiver.
Skills Assessment
Our caregivers take an annual competency exam to test their caregiving knowledge.
Fingerprinting Background Check
As required by the state, our caregivers undergo a fingerprinting background check and are screened under the National Sex Offender Registry.
Registered As Health Care Worker
Candidates MUST be registered or agree to be registered as Health Care Workers with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Reference Checks
Candidates must provide us with at least three professional and/or personal references, all of which are checked and verified before hire.
License/Certification
We verify all professional licenses through the Illinois Department of Public Health or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
Caregiver Training
Caregivers undergo mandatory training upon hire, and are provided with annual training over the course of their employment with CareDiem® Home Care.
TB (Tuberculosis) Test
Candidates must provide documentation that they have been tested, and do not have Tuberculosis.
